Largs

Samstag, Oktober 23rd, 2010

That day I took the chance, went to the coast and spent a nice and sunny afternoon in Largs, strolling along the promenade to the Pencil Monument. I then climbed up Castle Hill – it’s a really nice little walk – and had a spectacular view over the town and across to Cumbrae Island. After the descent I stopped by at “The Waterside” pub, had some drink and just relaxed before taking the train back to Paisley.

Light walk in the hills

A few fictures from another little walk in the hills. Thick clouds hanging over Thornly Park, creating a decent lighting together with the evening sun.

Upstream

What better could you do after all that dirty cleaning and dusty hovering? You could go out into the nature, enjoy the sunny autumn-weather and smell the fresh air at a nice little waterfall deep in the woods…
That’s at least, what I did today. On another nice little autmun walk, I went again from Glen Park through Gleniffer Country Park upstream Glen Burn, and back over the hills to Thornly Park Campus.

Autumn Walk

Donnerstag, Oktober 7th, 2010

This afternoon I had a nice walk in the Hills from Thornly Park Campus towards Gleniffer Country Park. The autumn sun did its best to bath the scenery in a pleasant and warm light, even though a little chilly breeze was blowing.

Glasgow

Montag, Oktober 4th, 2010

Today we had a really nice day in Glasgow, strolling the busy streets and having lunch in a nice cheap but favourable pub in West Nile street. We also went to the Apple-Store in Buchanan Street (just for getting directions with Google-Maps on the iPad.. haha, kidding :-) )

In the afternoon we made our way to Kelvingrove Museum. What a crazy collection of things they have… a potpourri from scottish wildlife – featuring the wellknown “Haggis animal” – over jurassic fossils to the ancient egypt and all kinds of arts. It instantly reminded me of the movie “Night at the Museum“. It really seems that all the things there have been alive just the night before and the staff just hasn’t finished putting them back into the right order ;-)

Yeah, but it was fun – definitely a must-see – like they tell you right at the entrance.
